BELIEVER S.A.S. Receivables management · Medellín, Colombia
Extrajudicial collection · Under written mandate

Receivables recovery, conducted within the law.

Believer S.A.S. is a collection agency registered in the Mercantile Registry of the Cámara de Comercio de Medellín. We manage overdue receivables on behalf of creditor companies — by agreement, in writing, and within the limits that Colombian law sets for every collection contact.

We are not a bank and not a lender. We do not grant credit, take deposits, or offer financial products. Our work is governed by Ley 2300 de 2023 (collection conduct) and Ley 1266 de 2008 (financial habeas data), under the oversight of the Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio (SIC).

Section 01 · Scope of services

What we do — and what we never do

We act only under a written mandate from the creditor. Every file we manage corresponds to a documented obligation; we do not pursue debts we cannot substantiate on paper, and we provide the supporting documentation to any debtor who requests it.

S-01

Extrajudicial collection

Pre-legal management of overdue commercial and consumer receivables: documented notices, calls and written communication within statutory hours.

S-02

Payment agreements

Negotiation of restructured payment schedules on the creditor's instructions — always issued in writing, with a copy for the debtor.

S-03

Portfolio normalization

Reconciliation of accounts, verification of balances, and orderly documentation of each obligation before any contact is made.

S-04

Credit-data handling

Support with reporting obligations under Ley 1266 de 2008 — including the prior notices and corrections that financial habeas data requires.

Section 02 · Conduct standards — Ley 2300 de 2023

The rules every collection contact must follow

Colombian law fixes when, how often, and whom a collector may contact. These limits bind us, and we state them here so that any person we contact can hold us to them.

DayPermitted contact hours
Monday – Friday7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Saturday8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Sundays & public holidaysNo collection contact permitted

Oversight: the Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio (sic.gov.co) handles complaints about collection conduct. If you believe any contact from us breached these rules, we ask you to tell us — and you may complain to the SIC regardless.

Section 03 · Credit reporting — Ley 1266 de 2008

Your data rights when a debt is reported

A warning about "credit repair" offers

Businesses that promise to delete accurate negative records for a fee — so-called reparadoras de crédito — cannot deliver what they sell. The only lawful ways a negative entry leaves your file are payment, correction of an error, or expiry of the legal term. We are not a credit-repair business and have no relationship with any.

Section 04 · If we contact you

Verify first. Pay only against documents.

Ask who the creditor is

Every file we manage has an identified creditor and a written mandate. Ask for both; we are obliged to say on whose behalf we are calling and to substantiate the obligation in writing.

Check the company

Confirm Believer S.A.S. (NIT 901885361) in the public registry at rues.org.co. A caller who cannot be matched to a registered company is not us.

Get the agreement in writing

Any payment plan, discount or settlement is valid only when issued in writing on behalf of the creditor. A verbal "offer that expires today" is a pressure tactic, not a document.

Pay only to documented accounts

Payments go exclusively to the account stated in the written agreement — in the name of the creditor or of Believer S.A.S. Never to the personal account, Nequi or Daviplata of an "advisor".

Keep your receipt and paz y salvo

After settlement you receive a receipt and written confirmation that the obligation is closed. Do not accept a closure that exists only by phone.

Impersonation notice

Fraudsters pose as collection agencies: they demand immediate transfers, ask for card numbers or verification codes, and press people to pay into personal accounts. We never ask for your card number, PIN, passwords or one-time codes, and we never take payment into personal accounts. If a contact claiming to be Believer S.A.S. does any of this, end the contact and write to us at the address below.

Section 05 · For creditor companies

How an engagement works

Portfolio review

You provide the portfolio and its supporting documentation. We assess what is substantiated and collectible — and decline what is not.

Written mandate

A contract defines the scope, the fee basis and the conduct standards. Fees are agreed per engagement and are not published as a price list.

Managed collection

All contact with your debtors follows Section 02 — statutory hours, capped frequency, no third parties. Your name is used only as the law permits.

Reporting and remittance

Recovered amounts are settled in Colombian pesos (COP) to your account under the contract, with periodic written reporting on every file.

Section 06 · Questions

Frequently asked

Are you a bank or a lender?

No. Believer S.A.S. is a collection agency (CIIU 8291). We do not grant loans, take deposits or offer any financial product, and we are not an entity supervised by the Superintendencia Financiera de Colombia. Our conduct in collection matters is overseen by the Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio.

How do I confirm this company is real?

Search "Believer S.A.S." or NIT 901885361 in the national business registry RUES (rues.org.co), maintained by the chambers of commerce. The record shows our registration with the Cámara de Comercio de Medellín, incorporated 30 October 2024, with an active matrícula.

The company is young. Why should I deal with it?

We were incorporated in October 2024 and say so plainly — the registry record is short, and we do not dress it up with invented history or client lists. What we offer instead is verifiable: a registered company, documented mandates, and conduct standards published on this page that you can hold us to.

Can you remove a negative entry from my credit file for a fee?

No — and no one lawfully can. Accurate negative data leaves your file only through payment, correction of an error, or expiry of the legal term under Ley 1266 de 2008. Anyone selling guaranteed deletion is selling something that does not exist.

You called me outside the legal hours. What now?

Tell us in writing — we will review the contact and correct it. You may also file a complaint with the Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio (sic.gov.co), which sanctions breaches of Ley 2300 de 2023. The legal contact windows are listed in Section 02.

Does "Believer" mean anything? Are you affiliated with similarly named companies?

"Believer" is the registered trade name of this company and nothing more. We are not affiliated with any other business, in Colombia or abroad, that uses a similar name.
